Reciproc8 is a community built on mutual aid: neighbors sharing skills, goods, and time with each other. That only works when everyone can trust the people they exchange with. These guidelines describe how we show up for each other. They apply everywhere on the Service: listings, profiles, messages, reviews, and the in-person exchanges the app makes possible. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Treat every member with respect and assume good intent. Show up the way you would want a neighbor to show up for you. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, and bullying have no place here, whether in a listing, a message, a review, or in person.
Describe what you offer and what you seek honestly. Honor the exchanges you agree to, communicate early if plans change, show up on time, and confirm the exchange when it is done. Repeated no-shows and misrepresentation erode the trust this community runs on, and both are grounds for losing access to it.
Meet in public places for first exchanges, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts. If something feels off, you can walk away at any time, before or during an exchange. Never pressure another member to meet somewhere they are not comfortable, and never demand personal information as a condition of an exchange.
Only offer skills and goods you can legally provide. Do not list or request:
Reciproc8 is for barter. Do not use it to sell for cash or to funnel members to paid services.
Share your own contact details only when you are comfortable doing so, and never share another member's personal information, photos, or messages without their permission. What members tell you in an exchange stays between you.
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. You can report or block any member from their profile or from an exchange in the app, or email us at hello@thereciproc8project.com. Reports are confidential.
We review reports using a combination of automated screening and human judgment. Listings, photos, and messages may be screened automatically before they reach the community. Depending on severity, violations can lead to content removal, a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the community. We act on serious safety issues immediately.
If you believe we got a decision wrong, contact us at contact@thereciproc8project.com and a person will take another look.
